Art Shows...

Hello Everyone! I want to invite you all to stop by my booth at the Tennessee Association of Craft Artists (TACA) Fair at Centennial Park in Nashville from May 2-4 (THAT'S NEXT WEEKEND!).
In the past 8 months or so, I've started making some folky/modern visual art and it has been very well received so far. Visit the gallery on this site to see some pics. In fact, I recently heard from the folks at Disney that they are interested in using my art on set for the next Hannah Montana Movie!
Anyway, the TACA show is a juried event, so I am honored to have been accepted to exhibit my work at the fair next weekend. If you decide to stop by, my booth is an easy one to remember - its B-52 (like the bomber or the music group). Please take a moment to check out my art online at www.scott-phillips.com/gallery.php. AND PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE...TELL EVERYONE YOU KNOW WHO LIKES ART! I'm really excited to get my stuff out there.

I hope to see you one day next weekend!
Blessings,
Scott Phillips

Scott's Renaissance

Scott has been a musical artist by profession for the last 7 years, and by heart for much longer. These last several months, though, his heart has needed a rest. Come to think of it, perhaps it was his profession that needed to rest so his heart could come alive again. While his guitar's been shelved and his voice has been quiet, his hands have been making beautiful things. For the last few months he's been out in the garage, his "workshop," pounding away at metal, carving, painting, dreaming... His collection is now over 50 pieces full. Check out the gallery on this website for some photos of his work.
Currently his pieces are for sale in a high-end boutique called Haven in historic downtown Franklin, TN. He also recently found out his work had been accepted into the TACA fair, a pretty big juried event held twice a year in Nashville. Over 45,000 people will come through and see (hopefully some will purchase) his work. He'll be one of "180 of Tennessee's finest artists and craftspeople" with work displayed. If you're in town and can attend the fair, PLEASE come see us!! Click here for dates and times. If you're not local, but know someone who is, spread the word! He will also be doing a concert/art show at Building 8, located in the Factory of Franklin, TN on May 16. We'll post details of that event soon!
